NEWS:We Will Receive Atiku 1,000% If He Decides To Come—APGA

The All Progressive Grand Alliance yesterday said it would wholeheartedly welcome former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar if he decides to join its fold.This was revealed by its National Chairman Dr. Victor Oye, while speaking with newsmen in Abuja.

Victor Oye said, “Atiku is free to dump his Peoples Democratic Party for APGA to pursue whatever political aspirations that he has.

“Although Atiku is yet to approach APGA over running for 2019 presidential election, however, freedom of association permits him under democracy to associate with any party of his choice. APGA will be glad to welcome him.

Recall that the campaign office of Atiku days ago condemned reports that the former Vice President has defected from the PDP to APGA; describing it as a malicious attempt to confuse the public about the aspiration of Atiku ahead of the forthcoming presidential primaries election of the PDP.

However, the National Chairman of APGA while reacting to the report said that as a Nigerian, Atiku is free to join APGA, adding that he will be welcomed passionately.

Speaking on Atiku’s chances of getting presidential ticket for the 2019 election, Oye said, “Not just joining the party, if he eventually joins, he will follow the rules of the party”.

“The party has a constitution; he will subject himself to the constitution of the party. That is all. There is no two ways about it. But we will receive him 1,000% if he decided to come. He is a Nigerian. He doesn’t have any criminal records.”
