Dr. Umar Ardo, an Adamawa state Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has sued President Muhammadu Buhari for giving a posthumous honour of Grand Commander of Federal Republic, GCFC on late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola
Ardo asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to set aside the posthumous national honours conferred on the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, the late Chief M.K.O Abiola, and human rights activist, the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, stressing that it was unconstitutional.
The former Special Assistant on Research and Strategy to Atiku Abubakar, in a motion filed June 14 also pray the court to void the honour given to Babagana Kingibe by president Buhari.
Recall that Ardo, on June 11, sought the court to stop the investiture ceremony.
