POLITICS: PDP Wins LG Election In Rivers State.

The result of Saturdays Local Government election in Rivers state which was released by the Independent National Electoral Commission has shown that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, won in all the twenty-three LGAs.

Justice Chukwunenye Uriri, Chairman of the State Independent Electoral Commission, while declaring the results of the election, confirmed that it was free, fair and devoid of violence.

Recall that the state Governor Nyesom Wike had earlier said that the local government poll was peace because the All Progressives Congress, APC did not participate; adding that 66 out 68 political parties scheduled for the election partake.
